Network of Future/5G development:
5G is the new generation of radio systems and network architecture that will deliver extreme broadband, low latency connectivity, ultra-robust and massive networking for human beings and the Internet of Things. Enabled by 5G, the programmable world will transform our economy, individual lives, and society.
Premcell is placed at the forefront of 5G technology partnering with Nokia Global, TIA, Tier1 Universities and several community colleges globally.
Premcell Global is already engaged in product related R&D for test purposes with Doctor Driss Benhaddou, Ph.D. Associate Professor and Fulbright Scholar from Engineering Technology Department in University of Houston (UOH). The university is a Carnegie-designated Tier 1 public research university in Houston, USA.
“5G test trials by carriers and vendors are going on now. The technology standards are being developed which promises hundred times faster than current networks and thousand fold capacity.
Cloud in 5G opens up opportunities and data centres are growing to adopt the extra bandwidth per user required. So together 5G networks will give more bandwidth overall.
5G Networks will offer speeds more than 10 Gbps with ultimate goal of zero latency. 5G platform will enables growth in many industries, ranging from the IT industry to the car, entertainment, agriculture and manufacturing industries. This new technology will connect the factory of the future and help create a fully automated and flexible production system. Following are few specification which 5G will offer.
• 1-10Gbps connections to end points in the field (i.e. not theoretical maximum)
• 1 millisecond end-to-end round trip delay (latency)
• 1000x bandwidth per unit area
• 10-100x number of connected devices
• (Perception of) 99.999% availability
• (Perception of) 100% coverage
• 90% reduction in network energy usage
• Up to ten year battery life for low power, machine-type devices
U.S. investment into the “Internet Of Things (IOT),” for hardware, software, services and connectivity spending is expected to be $232 billion this year, making a total of $357 billion in 2019.
On 5G we are already engaged in the US markets in services that provide an Immersive Multimedia Experience such as Virtual Reality or UHD. Other type of services we are also involved are Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud office.
We are also involved in the technologies that will make 5G the type of system that provides a truly Gigabit experience. Technologies such as Multi RAT, Advanced MIMO, small cell management, etc will make a 5G system to fulfil the demands of millions of connected devices and zero latency services.
